What is Paint ‘n’ Bake Ceramics Café?
Paint ‘n’ Bake Ceramics Café is a café and a ceramics studio all in one.  It is where you can go to relax, spend quality time with friends or family and create your own artwork on a ceramics piece of your choice.  Age is no barrier! From newborns making hand or footprints, to senior citizens, Paint ‘n’ Bake Ceramics Café is offering interactive fun for everyone.

I’m not an artist and I can’t draw a straight line! What can I paint?
You don’t have to be an artist.  Just select a piece of bisque ceramic from the large range on ceramics on offer and be prepared to have fun. For the art impaired Paint ’n’ Bake Ceramics Café have magazines, books, stamps, stencils, tracing materials and friendly staff to assist you.

This stuff I make, can I use it?
Yes you can use it!  All our paints are non-toxic, lead free and food-safe.  They are also dishwasher safe.

How much does it cost?
Ceramic pieces range from $5 - $100 with most items being below $50.00  There is a standard $8.00 per person per day studio fee for painters which includes unlimited use of paints, tools, glazing and firing of all the pieces you can paint in one day. (Part of the studio fee goes to support the Royal Children’s Hospital foundation.)

What can the kids do at Paint ‘n’ Bake Ceramics Café?
Children of all ages, including infants are amused at Paint ‘n’ Bake Ceramics Café.  You can paint your baby’s feet, or your children’s hands on a platter, a plate, or a coffee mug.  Even the youngest likes to play with paint, sponges and brushes.  Finger painting on ceramics is encouraged and the paint just washes off the hands and their clothes with water.
 
Can you come to my school, office or party?
If you are having a large party we will come to you. We will go to schools, hospitals, businesses and other venues.  We love to party.
