Paint ‘n’ Bake Ceramics Café is a mother/ daughter business.  The first thoughts of this business started while living in England, after having experienced the fun of painting ceramics on a casual basis.  However, a strong desire to return ‘down under,’ saw the O’Sullivan family moving hemispheres to Australia, before our dream could come to fruition.

Liz (mother) pursued and completed a Post Graduate Diploma and a Master of Education at Melbourne University, focusing on business subjects, while Penny (daughter) got on with her secondary education.  Liz is also a very talented artist bringing a creative dimension to the business.

Our vision was to have a business that was modern, fun and provided some balance in the fast paced world that we all live in.  We wanted a business that fired up our client’s creativity and inspiration for living, enabled them to use their creative right brain, while enjoying the company of family and friends.   Or… simply just having a bit of quality time out as individuals. Our business needed to provide a social and relaxing environment, with friendly staff and ethical business practices.

We didn’t rush.  We researched, enquired and asked our potential customers what they wanted?  We continue to value your ideas and suggestions and invite our customers to communicate with us and offer feedback.

Our products were carefully chosen.  The ceramics paints and glazes are non toxic, food safe and are able to be used in the dishwasher and microwave. We choose to be environmentally considerate, using paper bags over plastic and recycling as much as possible.

Our Tea is the best quality organic Ceylon tea.  And the Earl Grey is a connoisseur’s delight.  Our coffee originates in Italy and will please the most discerning palate with its flavour.   Care has been taken in selecting the very best for your visit.
